Yang's Top Anime Recommendations

Hello, how are you doing? I decided today to make a list of my anime recommendations since a good friend of mine asked me for anime recommendations based on genre, while writing a list I noticed that it was becoming longer and longer so I decided to include in my list only what I think of to be the best of the best from each genre, and then I figured that this would be a good place to share the list as well.

Like I mentioned, the anime shows/movies are grouped into categories, each category is represented by 5-10 anime titles in order for the list not to be too long and for it to have as much variety as possible.

The following are the categories that the list contains : Action, Adventure, Comedy, Crime, Cyberpunk, Fantasy, Historical, Horror, Mecha, Music, Mystery, Psychological, Romance, Slice of Life, Space, Sports, Steampunk and Thriller. I deliberately left out categories like Drama and Science Fiction in order for the list to be as specific as possible, I know that this system is flawed but please bear with it. Not all these anime are necessarily my favourites when it comes to their respective categories, but they're nevertheless titles that I judged to be among the best representatives of said categories.
